I prefer to watch the game and jump on the gdt at half time, I don't like distractions while watching the game

I find the chat room a bit fast for my liking, and can reply to posts in the GDT.

But, I'm glad there is a happy medium for everyone. I'll give the chat room a try this week.

This board is basically the only way I have of following the games, since I live in Washington state and don't have DirecTV. I try to stay up with the GDT and visualize what's happening based on the comments. It's kind of fun trying to decipher things like "NOOOOOOO!", "QUICK!!!", and other responses lol. Definitely not the same as watching it, but I'll take what I can get. I've never used the chat room. Which would keep me best updated, if you don't mind me asking?

I'd say chatroom. You get constant commentary as it happens without refreshing the page and can ask questions about everything that happened. Give it a try one week and can even use gdt at the same time.

The game links don't work for you?

It's the people who make the site. More people in the GDT so I tend to hang in there. That and I like keeping an eye on my creation.

The GDT because there are tons of members on there at the same time.

I just haven't found a feed that didn't lock up constantly.

Yeah, sometimes you have to jump around to find a stable one. I make sure to only have the game on and the site because my Dell pc tends to stutter with more than two windows open at the same time. First Row usually works best for me.

I prefer gdt. With the live thread feature you don't have to refresh it. Chat is OK too. But chat is too fast for me sometimes and you have to scroll up to see what you missed. I just like gdt with live thread better than chat. If you've only been using chat you should try it out.

I've used gdt's before and there is nothing wrong with them, just personally prefer chatroom. And I understand why some prefer the gdt. All I'm trying to do is get some people who haven't tried the chatroom on gameday to try it out. Both have pros and cons. Heck, I use both because they both offer something good.

GDT is so great to see the roller coaster of emotions minite by minute! I haven't done a chat room before, so I'll probably hang in the GDT. Thanks for the links BTW otherwise I wouldn't see the games except on NFL rewind which I pay for.

I pretty much concentrate on the game, and pop in at the chat room during commercial breaks, unless I have company over. Then I just ignore EVERYONE and watch the game, since the company usually consists of my wifes sister and her spoiled kids

If the Rams had completed the comeback against Philly, that GDT would have been hilarious to re-read from start to finish.

About as low as could go the first 3 quarters. Then... The change of tune as we started to comeback. Some of the comments were hilarious as we all were poking fun at the ride.

I like chat, if you can keep up with it, because it's a lot easier to know exactly what is being reacted to.

In a GDT, if you see a post that simply says, for example, "What a BS call!" Unless you were watching right as it was posted, you might ask "What was a BS call?"

It's not hard guys. You just type and read between plays and during commercials. You don't have to refresh and navigate to the last page.

I chat and stream on my laptop for games, switching tabs between breaks. I guess it's hard for you if you type with one finger at a time...

Chat room is fun on game day. It's almost like we're all sitting in the same room. Plus, we have the "Mayor of Drinking" in there... @Tron

Lol you guys kill me. Hopefully it won't be like the 1st 3 quarters of last week's game where drinking after a penalty is the way to go.

Agree it's like we're all sitting together watching. It's fun shit.
