I know it's only week one, but when is the last time you've seen rankings like this from the Rams?
I like this^, But Our "D" is only ranked 5th!?!
* The Colts only score 9 Points
* The D had two INT's and a Safety! ( a league record for a season opener!)
* We had 4 Sacks!
* 9 Tackles for Loss!
* and 5 QB Hits!
Who the F--k are the 4 Teams rated above us, and WHY!!?!

All I've heard on here is "the giants have your number."

19-3. They scored ONE field goal.

Is that still them having our number, or are there a bunch of excuses prepared? Im asking for a friend.

I mean this in the nicest, least dickish way possible.... but no one here cares at the moment. Our team actually scored touchdowns!!!!! Nothing else matters for a few days. lol

That 50 yard bomb Brissett did in the 4th quarter against our backups followed by the touchdown really hurt our rankings lol. Oh well.

I saw a LOT of sloppy football today. Teams just did not come out that sharp. I know the Rams had a couple of hiccups and we played a "luck-less" colts, but the Rams looked the most prepared and dominant of all the teams I saw play today.

What a refreshing twist.
Made that same comment early in the GDT. There was a lot of bad football yesterday the rust was in effect.

Congrats on the win, y'all. Beating the life out of a bad team is step 1 in having a good season, and you whooped the Colts so bad they can't smell no more.

Good game by the boys! But let's be honest they beat you twice last year just like the whiners beat us twice. Until we beat them people will say they have our number.

Anyone have a feel for how Brockers performed? He was kind of quiet, but that isn't always a bad thing for his position.
He looked pretty dominant....unblockable....didn't know how good of a game until I read box score....
- Run blocking wasn't as good as it could be, still needs work (although it seemed at times like the Colts schemed as if they were playing last year's Rams). What happens when the run blocking gets better? And what happens when teams really start accounting for the weapons in the passing game and Goff's ability to utilize them?
The elephant in the room....we didn't run block well...but that should come with continuity...cohesion...and another "c" word I still can't remember.

Just seemed disjointed at times....

I will say, the toss...pitch...whatever...seemed to work a lil better...a couple of solid runs were called back.

In short, what we say today was an excellent performance by a team that still has a lot of room for improvement, and a coaching staff that looks like it can bring out that improvement.
I think all teams get better....and while we weren't clicking, we still scored 30 offensive points.

O line has to get better in the run game.
Exactly....

No OBJ....but clearly your defense has improved....I like that LB....the one from ND. He was flying around last night. Happy for him. Think you lost Scandrick last night. I'll say this too...I didn't think Martin was all that...but he is pretty good.
Who the F--k are the 4 Teams rated above us, and WHY!!?!
Gotta be the Jags and Ravens as two of them...think they threw some shutouts yesterday.

Sean McVay’s Rams Tenure Couldn’t Have Gotten Off to a Better Start
Jared Goff and Co. put in an explosive performance to kick off their second year in their new home

The Rams beat the Colts so badly on Sunday that Indy head coach Chuck Pagano didn’t even know who they were playing.

The Rams opened the Sean McVay era about as well as possible on Sunday with a 46–9 thrashing of the Colts, the most points the franchise has scored since 2014. Rams quarterback Jared Goff, who was more of a punch line in his rookie season than an actual NFL player, looked downright competent.

He finished the game 21-of-29 for 306 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions in what was easily the best performance of his young career. We’re not used to seeing him thread throws like this:

Todd Gurley had 19 rushes for 40 yards and a touchdown, a line that fantasy owners were used to last season, but he added 56 receiving yards and was rested during garbage time.

Despite the pedestrian yards-per-carry number, Gurley looked every bit the electric and powerful back that Rams fans know he can be, especially on his 5-yard touchdown, during which he chopped his feet and fought past four defenders for a score.

As surprising as it is to see 46 points on the board for the Rams, the defense was the main story of the game. One of McVay’s first moves as coach was to poach Wade Phillips from the Broncos, where he was the architect of a defense that was no. 1 in DVOA the two years prior.

Though the Rams already had a stout defense, adding Phillips as defensive coordinator was an instant upgrade and a wise, stabilizing presence for a young head coach. The move looked like it has already paid dividends, with the Rams’ defense scoring two pick-sixes and a safety, worth more points than the Colts scored as a team.

The Rams’ defense completely smothered the Colts’ offense, allowing only a field goal while the game was still competitive and forcing Pagano to bench quarterback Scott Tolzien in favor of Jacoby Brissett, who has been with the team since only September 2.

The Rams waxed the Colts even without star defensive lineman Aaron Donald, who ended his holdout and reported to the team yesterday but had already been ruled out of this game. Adding Donald to Phillips’s defense is a scary prospect for the rest of the NFC West.

Meanwhile, the Colts looked lost at sea. Clearly Tolzien was never the answer for Indy at quarterback. Watching the offense squirm without Andrew Luck under center made it even more perplexing why the team waited until September to acquire a promising backup, especially when the Colts have had since January to prepare for Luck’s absence.

But the roster is so bad that even his return alone might not be enough to stave off a bottom-five finish, especially considering how much rust he’ll have to shake off when he does return.

While the Colts are sinking, the Rams have their sights set on competing this season. They may be the youngest team in the league, and they may be led by the youngest coach ever, but if they keep playing like this, nobody will forget their name ever again.

That would be the Ravens, that was a surprise! OK! So maybe the Rams only have the #2 Defense right now, But not #5!;):D

If the Giants had OBJ last night it would have been a different game.
Like maybe a 19-6 loss instead of 19-3 loss....
Cowboys owned the GMen last night and there are no excuses
Dak is the real friggin deal man

I don't know about the Jag's, their Final score was 29-7 which mean they gave up a TD, we didn't!the only Shut-Out was the Ravens game, I give them one-up on us! I just don't see any other Teams "D" looking better than ours in Week #1!!
