It's extremely difficult as a fan base to listen to this.. But we have to understand no matter how much we bitch or moan,
These guys are feeling 100000X worse..

True enough and your post is very close to dead on, but, I dont know what Long is supposed to say. If he said "Well, the coaches suck and number so and so is just here for the check and number so and so was out drinking till 4 am last night"
he would be branded a bad team guy. In reality probably none of those things are true anyway. Long going out of his way to say the coaches are good tells me he has heard the complaining about the coaching. You know, none of it matters really.
We will find out in the coming weeks if the coaches are capable of making adjustments to what they do because clearly what they have done to this point is not working. Martz for all of his greatness got to the point in St. Louis where he could not see the reality in front of him. He had a QB that was getting shell shocked, a bad O line and was still going empty backfield when his QB had been sacked 7 times. Why? Because that was his scheme. Thats what he put in and what he coached and thats it. Most of these guys may or may not be great football minds, but, what are they are good at is putting in and coaching ONE approach. So, when things go pear shaped like what has happened with the Rams O they are just lost and cannot adjust. Schott' has a big challenge over the next week and a half.
