I think people are missing the joke. It's self-deprecating humor. It's satire.

Sure, from the fans' standpoint, but Coach seems to think it's significant.

Well naturally I wouldn't expect him to say that. There are a lot of things you can say between what he did and what you did. The underlying point was (and is) that he's not taking it as a joke. He's pleased with it - and that's fine. I'm sure he knows it means nothing in terms of regular season success.

GW's system normally takes at least half a season before it's effective. I know all of y'all remember all the mental errors during the first half of the season in his first year. It's a complex system.
