Cleveland Browns left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. and wide receiver Rashard Higgins were both cited for drag racing Tuesday morning.

"We are aware of the incident, will gather more information and handle this matter appropriately," a team spokesman said.

The citation occurred in Westlake, Ohio, about 10 miles from the Browns' practice facility.

According to the service report released by Westlake police, the two were pulled over just before 9:30 a.m. ET and were each written $124 tickets. Police also conducted a probable cause search in one of the vehicles for a suspected marijuana joint, according to the report. Police didn't specify which vehicle had the joint, and neither Higgins nor Willis was cited for it.

Police did not specify how fast either was driving.

Wills, the No. 10 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft, has started all but one game at left tackle for the Browns this season.

Higgins has emerged as a key target for quarterback Baker Mayfield late in the season. Tuesday evening, Higgins posted on Twitter that his "foot slipped," in regard to the drag racing citation, before deleting the tweet. He also posted he "was tryna get away from Covid" before deleting that tweet as well.

The Browns were slammed with more COVID-19 trouble Tuesday, as coach Kevin Stefanski, wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge and Pro Bowl guard Joel Bitonio all tested positive for the virus, knocking them out of Sunday's playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

We won a Super Bowl in 1999. Because if the Patriots/Steelers/Giants/Ravens winning 12 of the 20 Super Bowls since ours, there are only I think 13 teams who have a more recent Super Bowl win than us.

How the hell could you root for the Steelers? They beat the Rams in a Super Bowl

I don't care what happened in the 1970s. Didn't even exist then.

I've been a fan of the Steelers since 2003ish, before their SB against the shitbirds and even realizing they already had 4.

No one felt bad for the Rams. No one feels bad for the Lions or Bengals or even the Bills until the past couple of years.

So....nope. Not rooting for the Browns because they finally got their act together. Hope Pittsburgh stomps them out.

I agree that those 2 are morons for drag racing. I don't agree with Baker take.

What has he done to deserve all the crap? That police video? Others have done much worse. The flag at OSU? Surely that can't be it. Undeserved hate.

But I mean, everyone should be rooting for the Browns and Bills. They've had zero success in the past 21 years

I can't root for the Steelers. They are one of the NFL darlings getting favors from the league like last year against the Rams. Ben Raplisberger is the QB. Their fans have been obnoxious here in PA for as long as I can remember. They are almost as bad as Eagles fans.

I have no problem rooting for the Bills. The coaching staff is cool, Allen is a good story with lots of doubters coming into the league because of low completion percentages. Its a great city. One of the friendliest Northeastern US cities that I've ever been to. Fans arent obnoxious, (but do I think the Bills Mafia thing is stupid).

I feel for Browns fans, but I don't like the team overall. I guess I'd root for them against some AFC teams, but not all. The uniforms don't bother me like they do some. Nothing wrong with going old school.

I'm just glad the Bills have turned NE into an afterthought - and probably will continue to do so for the next decade.

But those uniforms man. Jesus. If I owned that team I would completely remove the orange from the team colors. I'd have that dark brown be the primary color as it looks nice in contrast with the white. Helmets would be dark brown with a white/black stripe down the middle and I'd have someone design a badass looking dog emblem that would be the team logo. Seriously man something about orange that I cannot fucking stand on any type of uniform whether it's the Browns, Broncos, Bucs, or even a hockey sweater like the Oilers.

It's all about history and I understand they have the Browns dog pound and it was their log from 2013-2014. However, they are named after their founder Paul Brown, one of the greatest football coaches of all time, who actually ended up losing the team to Art Modell.

Overall, I like when they don their all whites from yesteryear and I don't have a problem with the orange pants. Dog as the logo is a thought, but too much history there and back then they won a ton.

Ironically, in my younger years being in Ohio from 1985-93 I used to debate Brown fans and ask them why they couldn't at least but a "B" on their helmet, but these uniforms from past I like.

I actually love the Brown's unis, especially the brown jersey with orange pants. But that's me.

And for those who believe in karma, COVID is a vagary that can destroy any team at any time. I don't wish it on anyone and have nothing but empathy for any that get it.

I also fit in with those who understand what it's like to root for a long suffering team. It takes a real fan to endure humiliation year after year and stay emotionally involved. Cmon man! We should know.

I liked Mayfield leading up to the draft. Didnt mind his cocky attitude, I thought he earned it being he walked on to 2 different D1 schools and ascended to starter. Then he hit the NFL, and where I expected him to know his place, respect where he had gotten, he became this spoiled child like you said. Earn those stripes before you wear them kid! The list of QB who played well as a rook, and then career went sideways is long, and had he kept up his tude, thats where he was going.
Seems to have settled down this year, maybe had a slice of humble pie, dont know. Put for me, he's still a dooshnozzle until shown otherwise. (Hate to admit it, but I do find his Progressive commercials funny)
