The top 100 list is so confusing. Is it from last year? Do they base this year off last year? A little mixture? Why is Adrian Peterson on the list?
It is supposed to be based on "Last Years Play" but it NEVER is!

It's voted on by the Players and they always seem to vote according to a Players Career Stats! Other-wise I don't see AP or Clay Matthews making this list, because of there limited playing time last year! JMHO!

Besides Donald, are there any other Rams players who could make the list?
Does Kenny Britt count? If not...no one else will make it. Never seen a kicker/punter on the list.

It's based on who the players that vote think will be a top player in the 2017 season. So they refer back to last year, but is a projection on what should happen this year. That's why an injured AP is on the list.

So they thought Cam Newton would be the number one player again in 2016?

Yep

and I do remember Pat McNally...that punter from Indy...the one that retired always on the show...maybe he made the list once...

Alec Ogletree. IMO, he was our best player last year.

I'd expect to see Whitworth on the list. If punters make it, no better than Johnny Hekker of course!

That, and a popularity contest.

Hekker should be on this list somewhere. We'll see. Even Belicheat called him a weapon.

He had three punts over 80 yards (I think it's actually 90) last season.
He set the record for punts downed inside the 20 - Mike Thomas and the whole ST were a big part of that but Hekk's punts were masterful.
He lead the league in net punt average. . . again.

I'd say Donald and Whitworth should be on the list. Hekker should be too but he won't because people don't care about punters lol
