I know McVay didn’t necessarily “invent” the type of offense he runs, but sure seems like Nagy is borrowing a lot from it. I’m not knocking him at all. It’s a copycat league, more so flattered I guess.

Now, if only our defense can go back to being dominant like theirs...

Totally agree I was thinking same thing I know Mcvey didn't invent it but I am seeing it all over the league and I know it's not in my head but seems like every team good or bad is using that jet sweep as well as that shovel type handoff pass which if successful pads statistics very well lol. Again not saying he is th sole inventor of it but it does seem like there is a massive increase in usage after Rams success.

The nice thing is our D has seen it every day in practice since training camp so they should know how to defend it and the Bears don’t have playmakers like ours!

If you coached an NFL team and you saw the success the Ram's offense is having, wouldn't you try to copy them? Problem is, no other team has the combination of Goff, Gurley, Kupp, Woods, Cooks, Whitworth, Saffold, Sullivan, Blythe/Brown, Havenstein, and McVay to make it all work so smoothly.

Unfortunately for them, they do not have the personnel the Rams do. What they did yesterday had more to do with how bad the Tampa Bay defense is, than how good the Bears offense is.

Patriots did the same thing back in 01 stole all the Mike Martz plays. remember the Tom Brady direct snap to the running back....that came from the Kurt Warner direct snap to Marshall Faulk. Teams copy what works. Patriots ran Mike Martz plays for almost 10 years between 01-2011 hahahah

And Martz ran (place name here)'s plays.

None of this is new. I'm not saying McV isn't creative and I'm not saying Martz wasn't. Maybe they added little 'flavors' such as shifts or alignments, but I think it's more likely they got the right players to fit the scheme to execute these plays more successfully.

Brady and NE has run that for a couple years before the Rams.

One big difference between the two is Martz wanted his QBs to read deep to shallow. I don't know if McVay had s preference or not.
You see a lot more shallow and medium crosses with McVays O. I really like his take on thenpassing game. A cross at 5-10 yards can be such a great play....especially when a fast receiver can turn that into a 20 yards gain.
A post is a post, a cross is a cross, an out is an out. What makes passing games different is how things are packaged and disguised.
Also, McVays ability to adjust accourding to the D is huge and something Martz struggled with at times. Martz' game plan either worked or not. Not a ton of adjusting with occasional exceptions. It usually worked and was not stopped. McVay seems a little more plyible.

Alot of similar motions and crossing plays . However trubisky is so fsr behind jared , yes he had 6 tds but they were very easy reads and throws.

Easy to copy Mcvays plays but he also has the players to run any play he chooses . The way mcvay dutches tempo really makes it hard on defenses to establish rhythm.

Yeah, totally agree that we run it so smoothly and efficiently, especially compared to everyone else.

Something else I’m noticing about us Rams fans is how humble we are to other fans. That comes from 10+ years of futility. I think I speak for us all when I say that we’re just grateful to have what looks to be the leagues next top head coach. Because players come and go, but coaches are the glue that keeps teams consistent. Usually.

Agreed....but I am referring to all of the offense especially the jet sweeps but as a hole I'm starting to see similar offensive game plans/plays similar to ours no matter the personnel. This week with no Rams game on Sunday I got to watch some more of the other games and its trending lol

It was one game. Prior to that they scored 23, 24 and 16 on the Packers, Seahawks and Cardinals in that order.

I'm not impressed.

I was thinking 9-7 for the Bears......but with the Vikings and Packers taking a 1/2 step back, maybe they go 10-6. That Dec 9 matchup is looking nice.
