Not going too badly for England at the moment :sneaky:. Rain given for Sunday though, so may only have a single day to bowl em out.

Doing much better than many expected. I've been very impressed with certain performances, Joe Root has been excellent as expected. Need to see more from Cook though, form seems to be sliding again...
A lot more to come from Stokes as well I think.

I was up there for the first day, was very entertaining. I'm hoping (and preying) we bowl them out as I would have liked to get probably another 50 or 60 runs on the board.

Oi Simmers don't start having a pop at Essex's finest or we'll fallout! The chef will come good I have no doubt about that.

Haha, I'm actually a Cook can, don't think it's fair the amount of stick he gets. He definitely need to pick it up though. Can't have your opener and captain constantly getting out for 20-30 runs.
We can't all be Yorkshires finest Joe Root ;)

Great day of Cricket for England, but mixed emotions for me, I have tickets for day four which are looking pretty useless right now lol...

Nope, on the bright side, means I can watch the Boro on Sky tomorrow now

I get a full refund for my tickets as well obviously so can't argue too much given the circumstances of putting the Aussies to the slaughter... :D

image.jpg image.jpg I was there on day 1, unbelievable stuff and what a superb win. Good to see the urn back with its rightful owners (not that we ever let that lot have it anyway!). Here's a couple of pics from my day.

We Americans use crickets for catching fish. When it comes to batting balls, we know baseball is the deal. We do get a touch confused at futbol and cricket. One, you score every hour or so, the other, the score might be 275 to 190. What the hell?????? It's like drinking warm beer.

Just the second most popular sport in the world, don't worry about it :).

Australia get the chance to redeem themselves against New Zealand today as the first test in Brisbane starts up.

Pakistan to roll through the Poms on the final day. :sneaky:

Yep -- the Pakistan spinners roll through the poms -- and wrap up the series 2-0.

Australia 2/389 after day 1. New look top order did well --- Warner 163, Khawaja 102*, Burns 71
