Just curious where those on this board are from. I'm only 24 so I grew up with the Rams being in STL, and I'm a St. Louis sports fan all together. I'm pretty much the only person I know around here who is still a Rams fan after the move back to LA because it's all I've known for my entire life!

Also wouldn't mind stories of how you all became Rams fans if you chose neither and if you were still Rams fans when they moved to STL or just recently became a fan once they came back.

I moved to Phoenix 4 years ago after living in Orange County 35 years. My family had season tickets when the Rams moved to Anaheim until they left for St. Louis. I am a die hard "Rams" fan, so I followed them in St. Louis and even made it out to a few games. I think it sucks that so many St. Louis fans dropped out. I didn't when they moved to St. Louis.

I followed the Rams in the early 80s and all the way through the move to St Louis and back to So Cal. Once a Ram, always a Ram.

I live in the LA area, but I'm originally from Ireland. I became a Rams fan after I moved to the states and picked up Madden to learn about football, and randomly selected the St Louis Rams. Just adopted them as my team, even though they were bad (after the GSOT days, I barely was a fan in 2004, and I became a bigger fan in 2005), never knew they were originally from LA until I had adopted them as my team.

Love all my Boston sports teams! Became a Rams fan in the late 70s. The Patriots were never on TV back in those days. Started liking the Rams as I watched them more than the Patriots. Bought my first Rams shirt when I was 10, got made fun of and started liking them more lol. Been a Rams fan ever since. Plus the Patriots call themselves New England and not Boston so I hate them for that too lol.

I became a Rams fan on January 20th 1980. Nine year old me was meeting up with the family to watch Super Bowl 14. My uncle who's only 7 years older than me and was rooting for the Rams and so I rooted for them. Been a fan ever since.

Yeah, all my friends were just pissed at Kroenke for saying he'd never relocate the team then did just that, which I understand. I'm a fan of the organization and players, not the owner. It's just engrained in my mind who my sports teams are, lol. I can't just switch to being a fan of another team. I guess they never really were true fans to begin with, that's all I can say.

Edit: nearly all of them are now Chiefs fans...

I have been a rams living in central Illinois since I was around 8 years old. I always took grief from people in Illinois that I should just automatically be a bears fan. I got to see a lot of games while they were in St. Louis, which I am grateful for, I hold no ill will toward the move back to LA. I am just a rams fan, it’s all I have ever known in the NFL world.

Live in the Long Beach area. Been a Rams fan when they were in St. Louis since the GSOT. Had a neutral view towards the move but I do feel bad for fellow St. Louisians that the Rams had to relocate. Looking forward to being a part of a growing legacy for the next generation of LA Rams fans. It's certainly piquing my interest in following other LA sports fans like Dodgers, Lakers, Kings, and LAFC (debut season will be next year)

I've been a lifelong Rams fan ever since I was 9. Growing up in the New England area as a first-gen. American, I came from a family that didn't know what the hell American football was. I turned on the tube and BOOM Faulk and the GSOT were what made me an instant fan. I was made fun of a lot at recess for not knowing how to play football so I would emulate guys like Faulk and Bruce out on the field to fit in. It's funny, I was CONSTANTLY called a fair-weather fan during that brief 2-3 year span when I would rock all my Rams gear around, but ever since those years, all people do nowadays is commend me for my loyalty, but also take cheap shots at our misery (Can you blame them?!!). I am enjoying our new success early on under McVay and can't wait to see this team become a perennial playoff team!!!

FWIW Regardless of sport or my location, the Rams will ALWAYS be my favorite sports team. GO RAMS!!!

(Great thread)

Me too Greg! 1969 in Ventura. My Dad liked Roman Gabriel so I fell in love with the team. Always a die hard Rams fan even after the move. I would go to the Cards game every year to see them.

I'm a fan from Arizona. Born and raised. No football team here until '88 so i latched onto the team with the coolest uniforms and colors when i was 10 yrs old. My first season as a Rams fan was the '79 Super Bowl Rams.

Umm..I'm from Oklahoma.

During the Rams/Titans Super Bowl, I was the only one in my family and friends circle that pick the Rams to win the game. Rest is history.

The "Exact" moment in time I was hooked by the Horns also! Was only 6yrs old, but Jack Youngblood was instantly my Hero! I guess nothing's really changed in almost 38yrs, huh?

If we stay relatively healthy thru all 16 games this year, look the Fuck Out!

Peace brother
