I've been once on a cruise. I liked it. It had a nice topless beach that I wondered on to with my wife and daughter. (Very good time to have mirrored shades on) Sorry I couldn't help you much on how it would be like to stay a week. But I will say the place seemed a little more upscale than many of the other cruise stops like Progresso, Bahamas, or Cozumel. I know I remember telling myself that I could stay there longer than the afternoon we were there.

I spent a day there on a trip to Cozumel several years back. It was a fun time. You'll enjoy it and being at an all inclusive isn't bad either, I've done it in a few places and liked it.

Make sure you have a chance to get to Cozumel it's a short ferry ride. Also make sure you at least do a beach dive, take a "resort course" and go diving. It's one of the best places in the world to dive and I did it while I was there and the other member of the party didn't and they regretted not doing it.

One thing people may not pay attention to with all inclusive resorts is the fact that the liquor they provide may not be the name brands that you want. There may actually be an additional charge for your poison of choice. If you ask ahead of time, I've had the resort INCLUDE my favorite for no additional fee.

I did some research on that and the resort were going to has the top shelf drinks you just have to ask and its at no extra charge. We also have liquor dispensers in the room! never heard of that before all the Rum, Vodka, Tequilla, and Gin I can drink on tap right there by the bed.

There is a tiki bar in Playa where I had drinks and fresh grilled shrimp. Put that on the to do list.

While we are talking fun and sun, I've got a cruise booked for the 4th of July, becoming a tradition. We are headed to couple of places I've never been, San Juan,Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, and Grand Turk. Any "must do" things at those locals? I'm not a "cruise line excursion" person at all, hate them. I like to set out on my own and do things, cheaper and tailor-made to my desires.

I didnt care for puerto rico I flew in there once and stayed the night to leave the next day on a cruise. its a very dangerous place. I suggest being back on the ship before dark if your there that long. St. Thomas is one of my favorite places to go been there twice and when you imagine what paradise would be like its St Thomas. Last time I went we went to Megans Bay very pretty beach with a jungle to your back. The duty free shoping there is great too, they have great deals on watches, jewlry and especially electronics. havent been to Grand Turk but my parents have several times and loved it.

Oh, I know. I had Red Frog on the Magic (Med cruise) a couple of years ago. I fell in love with it. Actually, that is one of the things I'm most looking forward to. I had waiters hoofing it to the Red Frog Pub from the casino refreshing me on a too regular basis. :sneaky:

I'm reading good and bad things about that rebuild from Destiny to Sunshine. I usually try and ignore reviews and see for myself but when they revamp a ship, you can run into some annoying little unexpected outcomes. That's where the Red Frog comes in handy.

Yeah, I was like a hamster in a rotating ball outside the Red Frog Pub trying to ring the peg with that washer on a string. The ship's crew must really think we dumb Americans are really easily entertained.
