Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh was not fined for a Week 2 elbow to the head of Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman Eric Winston, according to a league source.

The play was not flagged and initially not even caught until video surfaced almost a week later of Suh making contact with Winston.

"To me, it's really petty," Suh said earlier this week. "The game's over with. Me and Winston had great interaction throughout the game.

"There's no bad blood there. I look forward to playing against him in the playoffs and down the road."

Winston downplayed the incident, saying he doubted Suh hit him intentionally.

Suh already had been fined once this regular season, $100,000 for a low block on Minnesota Vikings center John Sullivan in the season opener.

Detroit plays the NFC North rival Chicago Bears on Sunday. Suh was fined $15,000 for a hit on Bears quarterback Jay Cutler in 2010.

Also Friday, Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley was fined $10,000 for a personal foul during Sunday's 27-20 win against the Washington Redskins on Sunday.

The foul came on a play where Detroit rookie defensive end Ziggy Ansah sacked Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III, forcing a fumble.

Lions defensive tackle C.J. Mosley was fined $7,875 for a clothesline tackle face mask penalty on Alfred Morris.
