[CGI_Ram]

Hi Everyone -

It is with mixed emotion I announce Phxram transferred ownership of RamsONDEMAND to me last weekend. This process started more than a month ago as he devotes time to other endeavours, leading to this decision.

Through the course of the transfer you might have noticed the site unavailable last weekend for a short period. Additionally, the Survivor Pool did not take the move well, rendering it unavailable for the time being.

There are other niggles to resolve so I appreciate your patience.

When -X- started this board, he put together our Terms of Service and they remain our operating principal. This link can be found at the bottom of our site, please take a moment to revisit; http://www.ramsondemand.com/help/terms

It is our Terms of Service that make this place fan-friendly, attracts and keeps members, and has brought about participation from the St. Louis Rams. The Administrators and Mods are committed to uphold these terms.

In closing, we owe Phxram our heartfelt appreciation for the extensive work he put into making this board an amazing forum. Despite massive shoes to fill, my job is to build upon that with your help!

Since I have joined here I have see 2 owners come and go, and now into 3rd ownership. Maybe with a "committee" the owners wont be so hard pressed to put in so much time here, and everyone can enjoy life off line as well as on

I'm starting to feel like this board is a slutty girl passed around amongst friends. I enjoy all the owners so far but I just don't get what going on here. Is it that the board takes that much time? Or is it that much of a hassle, or is it expensive? I've never messed with a website in my life and have no clue what it entailes, but I hope this is the last move I see. Each person has a different personality, each person different tolerances.

It's more that the past owners have had things crop up in real life. It takes time to manage even a forum; that's why most places I've seen have multiple mods for forums alone. An entire board like this one has expenses, technical stuff, moderation, interaction, etc.

Like you said, CGI's a stand-up guy, and I know that he'll run ROD in a fair manner and be a good owner for this board.

I'm not sure many of us understand or appreciate the time and effort spent on a board like this. The moderators help (I hope) but the main guy has a shit ton more work on his shoulders than any of us. I'm not sure anyone wouldn't get burned out after a period of time, especially if their life changes substantially in some way. I think we all should appreciate that we have had good people in charge of this site from the get go.

I'm sure these things are easier if you are ok with letting them run amok. But the vision X had when he started this site and the technical additions added by Phx are no simple feats. Now we have CGI - another member of the board that wants to carry on a very cool tradition. IMO, he has huge shoes to fill and will do everything he can to fill those shoes. He is one of us and he loves this site.

But he needs at least as good of support from all of us members as enjoyed by Paul and Bob. This site doesn't run the way it does without the diligence of all the members to stand guard over the principles of this board. The Terms of Service are really quite simple and I want to thank so many of you for doing what you have to make this site the best Rams board - and the best sports board in general - I personally have ever seen or been a part of. I go back and re-read the Terms every now and then. It helps refresh me on what I should be expecting from posters that might be new or maybe haven't thought about what is expected of them HERE.

Long live ROD. Let's all help CGI take this ball and run with it.

You know, as some have pointed out here... But I shall echo... I'm glad someone like CGI took over the board.. But I'm tipping a cold frosty one to Phx and the job he's done here. I'm also glad he's sticking around. Kudos to you my friend Phx, and cheers to you brother. Good job man. :cheers:

Thanks CGI-Ram for stepping in and taking over. It takes a lot of time and effort to run a place like this and what some may not realize, a whole lot of money. I can tell you from my personal interactions with -X-, Phx, and CGI_Ram that these three are all good people who have the best of intentions.

No one likes change but when it comes we adapt. -X- made sure that ROD was passed to the right person when he turned it over to Phx, and Phx did the same thing when he passed it over to CGI_Ram. The vision remains the same - ROD will be a site where the members love the Rams and treat each other the way they like to be treated.

Please be patient until this transference of ownership is complete.
