"And they're still on their feet in St. Louis, this is a great hockey town isn't it!?"

Says the unbiased national television announcer calling the game tonight.

Guess someone forgot to tell him it was a baseball town when he flew in today.

I'm guessing that Lehtera got himself his first hat trick?

I've been a fan of the Blues since they were brand spanking new and I'll always be a fan. St. Louis isn't a baseball town, it's a baseball, football and hockey town to me. As it is to most of us from the Lou.

It IS a great hockey town...and a great baseball town...and a great football town (basketball town is someplace else down the road. Although we did at one time from 1955 to 1968 have a NBA team named the Hawks who won a championship). It's just a great sports city!

I used to shoot hoops at the church school yard while listening to Bob Pettit, on my transistor radio, score shit loads of points every night. Then they moved to Atlanta. :(

Gotta win to be relevant. STL is a great sports town, when they're given something to cheer about. I love the Rams, I really do, but nobody's gonna be an anything town if all they have to root for is 10+ years of failure.

Lots of ifs here, but if I lived there and could afford it, I would do the season ticket thing and be at every game...I wish to hell they would get some semblance of a competitive football team, but I would love to be able to go each week...Sounds nuts I know, but it's just the way I am...For me, the move or non move is of little or no importance to me...I live in neither place...I was a fan when they were in LA, St. Louis and wherever they end up this time...The only upside to an LA move to me is that I'm only about 30 minutes from the Cal. border in Medford, so I could do a weekend and spend some time with one of my sisters and her husband for a Ram game...Not so easy and more expensive to catch a game in St. Louis.. It's about 8 hour drive to Seattle and 6 hours to San Francisco, so I might be able to make a game in one of those places as well...All in all, a lot easier than from Anchorage, AK where I lived for 35 years...And of course all of this has little or nothing to do with anything...

Schwartz with a hat trick this season. Lehtera with a hat trick this season. Terasenko with a hat trick...and a Gordie Howe hat trick this season!
