We’re not going to see live football, basketball or hockey for a year maybe more unless the powers to be throw complete caution to the wind. if I was a player I don’t think I would want to risk getting infected. People are to stupid to do the right thing and curve this stuff. If the Rams played the cowboys tomorrow in SoFi it would be sold out with 75,000 high fiving knuckleheads.
Just can’t fix stupid.

I don't believe that's true. I know a number of docs and nurses having worked for years in hospitals and all caution against it. All the studies done have been terminated as they have found no benefits but lots of side effects.

I think they will try to play the season. They need TV revenue. Part of the protocol they will try to use is taking temps before the game. Any player with a temp elevation will not play. But the problem is they will be in their "bubble" environment so it's kind of dumb since that player would have been in close contact with coaches and other team members. I'm also one of those that think they will try to play but they won't finish the season.

According to most the earliest a trustworthy vaccine will be available in the spring of next year. Even then it will have to be rushed through the trials with incomplete testing. IMO that first vaccine will be untrustworthy and I for one won't take it until the true value of it is determined and the side effects known. That said it will give them the excuse to open things up, and why IMO they will play a full season in 2021. It will give them the excuse they need to extend the regular season as well to recoup revenue.

I'm just hoping the lack of revenue will BK the Spanos family and the Chargers get a new owner.

I would not be surprised if covid is a thing of the past before there is a vaccine. And if its not I would be very surprised if the vaccine is less dangerous than the virus. There is no way any vaccine will be tested enough to show it is safer than hydroxychloroquine, which has been used for over 60 yrs. The fact it is still in use is a testament to how safe it is, if it werent safe they would have found something to replace it with. It is still touted as the 1st treatment along with zpac for covid 19 by Yale and many others that have done studies. There are more studies showing it is safe and effective than there are claims that it isnt. I say claims, because the supposed studies that showed it wasnt effective also were not true studies by medical professionals.By September the virus will have mutated to a much weaker version of what it started as, as it is already showing to be doing, much like SARS did.

But back to football, I think the season will be played. The question is will fans be allowed to attend?

HydroxyChloroquine got politicized. It's sad. The NFL therefore won't use it. It's safety profile for the 10s of millions that have taken it over 60 years it undebatable. It's effectiveness is where the debate is but mostly political. The main study that denounced it was found to be a fraudulent lab setup by a pornstar and scam artist claiming to be doing real science. Here in my part of Texas is was given to every single Covid patient per some medical folks I know that work at the hospitals in the area. But again it was politicized for obvious reasons in this election year. But yea back to Football. I hope we get a season and Covid is a thing of the past.

The whole world has come to a consensus against using hydroxychloroquine as a Covid treatment, it’s not just about “politics in the USA.” And this consensus is from many different international studies, not just one.
