Rams REALLY need to figure out the LT spot.
Likes Blackmon a lot. His run-after-the-catch ability is tremendous
... but if you can get a franchise LT, you gotta take him.
Have - HAVE - to do a better job of protecting their QB.
Love Danario, but you can't count on him. Rams don't have two quality wideouts under contract right now.
Thinks Saffold is more of a RT than a LT
J. Brown regressed. Doesn't see Bell returning.
Rams have a lot of holes (duh), so more picks is the ideal situation
Colt McCoy is more of a high-end backup or a low-end starter. Browns probably want to get RGIII

... and other stuff.

Caplan claims that Rich (not Les) Snead is in effect Fisher's own personnel guy. I dunno why or how Caplan would know that even if it were true.

So who IS RS?

RS was in Oakland after the Titans, where he was Lombardi's replacement, but got fired. He was hired by the Raiders in May 2007 after 13 years with the Titans. He was fired in Oakland in 2009. Jim Thomas, meanwhile, said "If Snead joins the Rams, it would be as a scout."

When asked about Rich Snead as a GM candidate, Rams COO Kevin Demoff told TST that Snead "may return as a pro scout" this year.

Before the Rams hired him in 2012, RS was in the UFL--he was the Hartford Colonials's Director of Player Personnel. Link: http://uflaccess.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6480

*The team has made several moves in the front office. Mike Williams has been promoted to vice president of player personnel. He had been serving as director of pro personnel. John Mancini has been named director of college scouting. He was a college scout for the Rams the past 10 years. Also, Rich Snead has been hired as a pro personnel scout and Russ Bolinger as an area scout.

From his Titans bio--

Rich Snead is in his 13th year with the Titans and ninth as Director of Player Personnel. Snead is responsible for evaluating all college and pro personnel, as well as continuing the evaluation and grading of league personnel, researching free agents, and monitoring waiver and possible trade transactions. Snead originally came to the Oilers on June 27, 1994 as the club's Director of Pro Personnel. He spent four seasons as a scout for the Los Angeles Raiders (1990-93) and two seasons as a scout for the San Diego Chargers (1988-89). Snead began his pro career in 1983 as a scout for the Oklahoma Outlaws in the United States Football League (USFL). He also served as Director of Player Personnel for the Los Angeles Express from 1984-86. Snead's coaching experience includes a stint as wide receivers and quarterbacks coach at Santa Ana College from 1979-82 after attending Long Beach State University. A native of San Gabriel, Calif. (11/6/55), Rich and his wife, M'Lissa, have one son, Bill.
