A trio of Cardinals injuries

The Cards are really getting the finger from the football gods today.

After safety Rashad Johnson left the tip of his left middle finger in a glove yesterday, requiring surgery, the Cardinals got worse news today, as two players suffered season-ending injuries in yesterday’s loss to the Saints.

According to Darren Urban of the team’s official website, the Cards will place linebackers Lorenzo Alexander (Lisfranc) and Sam Acho (broken leg) on injured reserve.

That makes the Cardinals thin at a spot they weren’t deep at to begin with, and will likely require bringing in some veteran cover.

I hope they don't sign Jo-Lonn Dunbar! That would be a double-whammy.
