I disagree on Wentz. I think the Rams would have run a bit different offense more along the lines of 2015 with him instead of all the shotgun stuff that helped stifle Gurley. The others? Might have depended upon what was done with all of the draft choices they traded away.
Nah they wouldn't have, Fisher said they weren't changing the offense for Goff why would they have for another rookie? And they had the choice between the two and Fisher chose Goff.

I think the team has been coddled way too much. They need a more militaristic style of training from a "no BS allowed" type of coach. That style of training will help give them the confidence they need to finish games. Just my 2 pesos.

Nothing would have been different had we taken Wentz and Goff had gone to Philly. If the Rams had taken Wentz, Fisher would have still slow-walked his development, let Keenum soak up all the reps with the first teamers in training camp and preseason games, repeatedly stated he'll start when he's ready, waited way too long until it was painfully obvious that Keenum wasn't the answer, and after finally starting him, would have sat on the lead the first time we had one of 7 points or more. And of course, he still would have been working under a colossal failure of an OC, Rob Boras, who is bad enough to make people pine for the salad days of Schotty-ball.

And had Goff went to Philly? He would have had a QB friendly HC and OC get him ready to play much sooner, and if he didn't start immediately, would have started sooner and would have shown a lot of promise even with the normal rookie ups and downs. And we'd be sitting here wondering why we took Wentz instead of him.

If the Rams team that played today were to play Spags 2011 team he put on the field for his last game. The 2011 team would roll over todays Rams by 2 td's.
Not enough winning players. To many players have regressed this year.
I'm not pilling on any player or coach, this is a total team effort.

I watched 90% of the game but must have missed what Quick did or didn't do. A lot of you are pissed at Quick.
What transpired that I missed?

I've been wanting Williams gone for a while now. Hopefully this seals his fate, if he wasn't already on borrowed him after the Fisher firing.

This team is sad and pathetic. We can't even beat the 49ers. Blow it up.

Having said that, there is nothing to really "vent" at. The above are simply statements of fact. No need to get emotional about it. I'm done being upset or angry. When you go in expecting these kinds of outcomes - as any Rams fan with a brain should by now - they don't phase you when they happen.

I am, however, saddened and concerned because I really love watching football, the Rams make watching football no fun, and I've a sinking feeling that won't change any time soon because Goff is looking like a bust. I hope to God I'm wrong.

He ran a lazy ass route with about 10% effort that allowed the CB to jump in front of him with ease and intercept Goffs pass. If Quick runs hard and cuts even decently instead of rounding his cut in slow mo the ball would have hit him.

So let me get this straight....

In the last 16 regular season games... The Forty Whiners have won 3 games. All 3 games were against the Rams.... OK..just making sure.......
Well, actually San Fran has 3 wins in the last 19 reg season games not 16. Doesn't that make you feel better? Ugh. Didn't think so

If you want a positive about today's game, the Rams ruined the 49ers shot at the first pick. Good job there.

They're playing chess and everyone else is playing checkers. The joke is on us. *eyeroll

Wentz struggled mightily when the Eagles pass protection broke down and WRs played like crap. No matter who it was, it would have been a disaster.

Regardless, with the QB class this year, I don't regret it a bit. I'd rather enter 2017 with Goff or Wentz and no first than enter 2017 with a first and needing a QB.

Ran the last route on that interception half assed and quit on it. That was my final straw with him. It wasn't a great throw by Goff by any means but it shouldn't have been a pick like that.

It's the defense
I'm just watching this again while i wait for the return of my wife and kids

At minute 7:22 we have then at 1st and 25

View attachment 18226

Then here we have them at 4th and 8 with 6 minutes left

View attachment 18225

And this isn't even counting the 2 point conversion they made to win the game.

The defense choked

Look, if it were Keenum, I'd be saying the same thing. 90 yards and 1 TD to 1 pick (prior to the comeback) isn't enough.

What hurts me more is that in our two games vs the 49ers, that's been the consistent result. Our offense has looked like total crap against arguably the worst defense in the league. The worst DC in the NFL has outcoached the worst OC in the NFL at every step. It should just cement to us how bad Boras is.

Show of hands, if the Rams would have stopped the 2 point conversion how many of you would have been happy with the win?

As for me, I wouldn't. The team played poorly. Struggled to do much against a horrible defense.

What do u mean? Had we stopped the conversion, they just would have gotten the onside kick and won it against our soft D...

So, not pissed. This is expected, at this point.

Sad, pathetic display today. Goff looked HORRIBLE. Quick about single handedly prevented a FG attempt at the end with his drop and fukking terrible route running. The D just gave up at the end. This was a complete shiit show on the Offensive side again. I was hoping for a performance that would give hope for next season. Instead, I'm left with the feeling that it doesn't fukking matter who they hire as a coach. We need about 10 new starters and we don't even have a 1st round pick. These RAMS DON'T KNOW HOW TO WIN.

Fisher said a lot of things that didn't turn out to be true. I don't recall all the shotgun snaps and Harkey becoming an afterthought in 2015. No way Gurley got as many handoffs from a QB in the shotgun then. They looked like the Missouri Tigers with that rushing attack and similarly had no answer when teams figured it out.

Sure he did. But, I still question if he would have struggled as much with the Rams playing in an offense more of what we saw in 2015 which wasn't the case in Philly either.

As for entering 2017 and needed a QB, for me that would depending upon what was done with the traded draft choices. Besides, there was a chance that they might not have even needed a QB.
