I’ll tell ya what caught my eye is the talk that Cleveland might cut Nick Chubb to save like $14M in cap room. If that’s the case he’d likely be looking to sign a one year “prove it” deal to show he is fully recovered from that knee injury. I know Kyren is a monster but if we could get Chubb on a one year rental for cheap, I’d do it in a heart beat. Sharing the load would keep them fresh for the playoffs, and I think Chubb could help with some of our RZ woes.

Cutting Chubb and Amari Cooper will save them about 25 mill
Not sure how easily it is to cut Chubb though based on his injury status

Yeah last season was the only time Chubb missed games his whole career. He’s been remarkably durable while being a top 2-3 back in terms of production the last 5 seasons. To me it’s just a money thing. If we could get him for a good price I’d definitely pull the trigger.

He missed 4 games in 2020 on IR and was inactive 2 weeks in 2021 with a calf injury. Aside from those and last year he has been pretty healthy.

Totally agree. I'd be stoked and worried at the same time if we signed him. No way of telling how he bounces back, but he's a known workout freak. His squatting videos are insane as hell.

When they're young and suffer a knee injury, they can come back and be productive. Gurley injured in college, productive in the NFL. McGahee in college, productive in the NFL. I disagree, Fields is from Georgia, IMO, it is a perfect fit for the Falcons as I still believe Fields can be an upper tier signal caller, he just needs to harness some of his running & trust his reads.
