Just received my renewal pkg for season tix.

Im pretty pissed about the no seat movement. If they think everyone, including the masses of tix agencies who lost $$ last year are all going after 8 tix each again are out of their fucking minds. It's insulting. They should be doing a complete seat re-assignment program. GUARANTEED everyone would have the opportunity to get better seats.

I'm not savvy enough to figure out how to add the info PDF. It states that there will be no guarantee of seat change. It says if you pay before 3/1/17 you MIGHT have an opportunity.

The Email....

Dear Gregory,

On behalf of the Los Angeles Rams, thank you for your tremendous enthusiasm during our inaugural year back home in Los Angeles. With the 2017 offseason now officially underway, we are excited about the upcoming year which will be shaped by our new Head Coach Sean McVay and his staff. At the same time, we are looking towards the future as construction continues on the Los Angeles Stadium and Entertainment District at Hollywood Park that is scheduled to open in 2019.

We look forward to welcoming you back for the 2017 season. Our home schedule has exciting games against division rivals like the Seahawks and 49ers as well as a visit from the Eagles, Redskins, and Saints, among others. In addition to being there as we open a new chapter with Coach McVay, here are some highlights of the ticket renewal process and what that means for you.

  • By renewing your season tickets for 2017, you will be in the first group of fans who have the opportunity to choose seats at the new L.A. Stadium at Hollywood Park. Only 2017 season ticket members will maintain their priority to select seating locations at the new stadium and choose the best possible inventory.
  • 2017 season ticket prices will not increase from 2016.
  • Your 2017 season ticket invoice is due in full by Friday, March 17, 2017. Please view the Season Ticket Renewal Packet for more information.
  • If you have any questions or would like to make any changes to your account, please contact the Member Services Team at 818-338-0011 or info@rams.nfl.com.

Thank you again for your support.

Go Rams!

I got mine and thought the exact same thing. I'm in the worst seat of my price group and should be able to move 30 yards closer to midfield based on the non-renewals I'm expecting. They should have a mechanism for that. It's basically forcing me to punt and just buy fresh.

Almost as crazy as their messed up registration process...

Who's running this thing?

I wonder if there's that VP available from the Browns. They seem to put out a shitty product each year and still sell out seats every game. I've heard good things about that kid and I think he'd be a solid addition to McVay's staff and the Rams organization.

Get used to it guys. Teams and owners don't care about you, you're just dollar signs to them.

Problem with this is what if the seats you want are the seats another season ticket holder has and would like to keep. They have to give you any seat you want regardless of if somebody else has it and wants to keep it? Sorry but that's very short sighted. Now if they were to allow season ticket holders to move seats to seats another season ticket holder doesn't have then yeah I'd agree with you. But your carte blanche I want to move where I want to move isn't realistic.

I never said I should get any seat I want. What I'm saying is I fucking guarantee there will be better seats available than the shit seats I currently have. I've yet to talk to one person who said they are re-upping their 8 seats. Almost all say they are going down to 2-4 seats, or no renewal at ALL. If that's correct...there will be better seats than what I have open. THAT's what I was saying.

Rams not raising price of 2017 season tickets
Alden Gonzalez/ESPN Staff Writer

LOS ANGELES -- The Rams, coming off a 4-12 season and suddenly facing competition in the market by the newly named Los Angeles Chargers, will not raise season-ticket prices for the 2017 season.

In an email to season-ticket holders that was sent on Wednesday, the Rams informed fans that 2017 season-ticket prices would remain flat. The note also apprised fans that those who renew for 2017 will have priority to choose seats for the $2.6 billion stadium in Inglewood, California, which will open in 2019.

Last year, the Rams established an eight-tier pricing system for season tickets, with seats ranging from $360 to $2,025.

They sold out in six hours, but interest has probably waned since then.

The Rams will play only seven regular-season games at the Coliseum, against the Seahawks, 49ers, Eagles, Redskins, Texans, Colts and Saints. Another home game will once again take place at Twickenham Stadium in London, this time against the division-rival Cardinals.

I'm not renewing. I'm not thrilled with my current seats or the people
I'm around. I enjoy the home experience so much better because the time and money saved. I love tailgating, but it's an all day affair to get there early, set up and then pack up before game time. The there's traffic all the way home and clean up from tailgating. It was nice to experience, but I'll go back to the couch with better food, beer and replays. Saves me over 2k. Individual games from here on out for me.

I agree with you all. I won't be renewing my tickets either and will be spending Sundays with my wife and newborn daughter.

46 - I had seats just a few rows below you. I hate the fact that it appears the Rams are giving preference to those on a waiting list compared to those that paid for them last season. The Rams marketing team has failed during this renewal process.

Always buy from a scalper and wait until fans are streaming into the stadium. Bring a seating chart unless you know the stadium in and out. You will be able to get tickets for half price. I've done it oodles of times. I went to STL many times and never bought a ticket until just before the game.

They don't care, the seats will go to ticket brokers as soon as you let them go and the Rams ticket people know that. Then the brokers will sell them at a nice profit to opposing teams fans. Welcome to the new economics of ticket sales. Why do you think the tickets sold out so fast to begin with? Brokers. Not just fans. Look how many opposing jerseys were in the seats last year. That wasn't from fans as much as brokers.

If the Raiders move to Las Vegas they will sell out even faster because that's a destination any fan will want to go to. And they can get blocks of rooms from hotels/casinos at a discount then mark those up to and create a package. Vegas will sell out in a blink and brokers are going to make LOADS of cash from that if it ends up happening.

Les,
That's precisely why many of us will not renew:

1) When you purchased the deposit, there was little correlation between purchase time and designation to purchase actual seats. I knew several people who got in after I did and were purchasing before me.

2) The Rams told the season ticket purchasers that they were trying to remove the brokers from season seats. We all see how well that worked.

3) The Rams screwed up parking by opening it to everyone at the same time instead of designating times like they were supposed to.

4) They have explored few options to assist ticket holders to sell/donate seats prior to game day. This has led many people to eat the cost of their ticket since they cannot get rid of it at full or near full price. It took me five minutes worth of effort to call a boys and girls club in la to donate tickets. I live in Sacramento, the Rams Staff would not assist. Pathetic!

5) The Rams would not even offer an upgrade to those renewing. Instead appearing to give the old seats to those who made deposits very late.

As with any membership, people want to feel that they are treated special as a value of their membership. The Rams have failed to do this. You'll note my jab at Jake Bye is not in blue.

I think the only way to (mostly) push out brokers is to take the ticket sales offline. And I'm not convinced that the owners or NFL care about who is buying the tickets as long as they are being bought so they will pay lip service to the fans.

I wonder what they are going to do because I think that a lot of people are going to say "no thanks".

They will have to eat crow and open up season ticket sales again. Egg on the face IMO.
