By chance, if the Eagles finish with a better record in 2015 than our Rams, did we get hosed?
To me it is all about the playoffs. If we are outside the bubble then Snee-sher = Angst.
I know we all wish SB8 all the best ,but this would burn a hole in my heart.

Then again, how can 3 more wins look like a bad idea? Lady Fortuna so fickle. What say you?

I couldn't careless where the Eagles stand by the end of 2015. A winning season in a division where defenses dominate the field of play indicates great strides for this team. None of the defenses in the NFC East scare me so the W-L column at face value is meaningless to me.

IMO we definitely have a stronger roster than Philly and should have a better record but if both make the playoffs than great. but then again their division is much weaker than the west so idk about records but seriously at this point if Foles stays upright all year and we miss the playoff then idk what to think anymore... 2016 first round QB?... who knows.

If the Eagles go 10-6 SB likely plays more than 50% of the snaps - which means that while the Rams get their 2nd, the Eagles don't get a conditional pick. So the Rams would both have improved more than the Eagles, AND have a high pick coming to them still. Clear Rams win.

Hell no! We no longer have to endure the anxiety-filled, season long Sam Bradford injury watch. I love Sam, but we all know that a good, healthy QB would have put us in the playoffs last year! The Rams are better now after adding Ayers and Fairley. We'll have Quick back too.

No more excuses - after Snead and Fisher fix the line (AND THEY WILL) we're on our way. The Eagles will probably have a decent record because of the crappy division they're in, but I'll pity Sam when he faces our line in the playoffs.

If the eagles go 10-6 in that division more power to them, but that does not mean we got hosed on the trade. In the NFC west I think the eagles would win no more than 7-8 games in the NFC east we would win 11-12 games.

I was looking for Seahawk tears after we signed Fairley when I ran across somebody say something on the lines of "If they don't go to the the Playoffs this year, Fisher is the worste coach ever." That was interesting.

no it wasn't. if he was that bad the rams would have collapsed both times sam went down. he did a masterful job the 1st season getting the rams to become aveage after spags and devaney were way out of their depth trying to rebuild a shambles of a team, set up firstly by martz and then absolutely decimated by linehan, who may have been the worst coach ever, with the worst f.o. in football.

obviously the last two seasons were derailed by the injuries to sam. but this year he has no excuse. he built this team the way he wanted it. if the oline is the cause of the rams downfall he will have nobody to blame but himself.

I agree with you, but I understand how some could look at what the Cardinals did last year and how they made the playoff on the back of their defense and wonder why Fisher could only get to 6-10.

somebody posted the cardinals record with their backup qbs and it wasn't much better than the rams.

The 6-0 record by the 1st string qb is what got them there.

As for the original question,
If the Eagles finish 10-6, that will be the same record 3 years in a row. If the Rams finish 9-7 it will be a 3 game improvement and first winning record in 12 years.
Being the Rams would have philly 2 rounder next year Id say the trade worked out quite well for us

That doesn't work over there. Anything pertaining to why the Rams did not do well is viewed as an excuse. But yeah, I know what happened and I am glad we got Foles and a second rounder.

All I'm going to say if we make the playoffs it's probably as a wildcard team and if the Eagles win their division they better pray they don't draw us in the first round. Sam it'll be that assss Mr. Postman!

Honestly if we had 9 wins I could care less what the Eagles' record is. Considering we haven't had a 9 win season since 2003, I'd be happy with the trade.

It's the best case scenario in my mind.

Both teams get winning seasons.

All the PD idiots get proven wrong.

All the moronic Philly fans also get proven wrong.

It is hard to determine who is the victor just based off of record. I fully believe that this division will be one of the toughest ever put together to win. Barring injuries of course. I can easily see both wild cards coming from the west this year. No one wants to play our division.

Hard to say who gets the better of the deal if you base it on wins. If we win 9 games I would think its because of the defense rather than the offense.

It's not hard to envision a St Louis vs Philly first round play-off game.

THAT would be interesting...
