Well, do YOU put the welfare of the company you work for ahead of the welfare of your family?
No way he agrees to less guaranteed money since he's one injury away from having to support his family for the rest of their lives on what he currently has and what is guaranteed to him. No offense to him, but I doubt that he has a very lucrative career outside of playing football.
